Was just thinking that. If he keeps doing this, I think he would be a good 2-hole hitter, move Avi to 3rd or cleanup with Davidson hitting 5th. Not really sure why Anderson is hitting behind Delmonico and Leury...unless the reason is to give variety of handedness in the lineup. Which I think is dumb. Put your best hitters first no matter the handedness.

Renteria wanted Anderson in the bottom third of the lineup so Tim could be Tim and allow him to be aggressive. And while Tim has been far more patient than he’s ever been with us, I’d leave him where’s at for now.

Also gives them a speed and on base guy towards the bottom of the lineup for Moncada and Avi at top. Whatever Tim is most comfortable with is fine with me, if he likes the bottom of the line up then keep him there

For now, I'm fine with it, but if he's still doing what he's doing now in a week or 2, in my opinion it would be good to reward him and hit him higher in the lineup. I sure as hell like their chances of scoring Abreu from 3rd a lot better with Timmy right now than I do with Delmonico or even Castillo.

Wtf are they talking about with only one opposite field homer last year? Not true at all

The thing is, while he is speedy and whatnot, he actually could very well be a 20+ HR guy too. I'm not opposed to him hitting 5th or 6th

I have no idea how Avi keeps doing it but man he keeps doing it.

Could it be because he’s good?

Let's take some of Avi's BABIP luck and give it to Moncada, please

He's not .400 BABIP good. He keeps hitting ground balls and somehow keeps getting by.

Am I crazy or has Fiers been in the high 80s all day and we can’t get to him?

Strike em out, throw em out.

This is just bad baseball against a horrible pitcher

Maybe don't do hit-and-run with a guy who struck out 38% of the time last year?

Davidson K’s on an 87 MPH fastball, the skepticism is starting to grow again.

He is throwing 88, hit the damn ball. That was awful

Davidson seems to have fixed one problem...he's not swinging at s*** pitches anymore like he was. Laying off some tough pitches. BUT seems to still be swinging through a lot of hittable pitches as well.

His first AB was perfect. They throw it outside and he took it the other way, that is good hitting not luck

I’ll be honest, I’m going to be pretty pissed if Lopez holds the Tigers to one and doesn’t get the win. It’s still very early, but no excuse to get shut out by Mike f***ing Fiers.

That was a strike

Nasty pitch too. Lopez looks awesome today. Velocity maintaining at 95 MPH.

Trouble brewing, back to back walks in the 4th for Rey

A tougher inning for Lopez but still at only 60 pitches through 4

Nice job getting out of that Reynaldo, now let’s get him some runs boys!

Rey looks good. Shouldn't have had that turn into a 26 pitch inning, but he looks pretty good.

BTW... the offense has gone in the crapper since I made my first post here. Which was right after Leury doubled in Davidson on Thursday. I suck...
