April 24, 20187 yr Right Hamstring strain. To be re-evaluated today (Tuesday). Eh, doesn't come as much of a surprise. He gets injured every year at some point. Just stinks that it happened right as it seemed like he was getting out of his funk.
April 24, 20187 yr If it's a DL trip, my guess is they go with Daniel Palka. Corner OF, can also play 1B, left power bat. They might want to see if there's anything there with him.

April 24, 20187 yr Not surprised to see Palka get a call. He lasted way longer in camp than most did, and none of the CF types have done much to earn the call up (Tilson, May)

April 24, 20187 yr Awesome! I threw this out there yesterday as an idea if Avi were to miss time. Here's how I would like to see the lineups shake out: vs. RHP vs. LHP 1. Moncada, 2B Anderson, SS 2. Sanchez, 3B Moncada, 2B 3. Abreu, 1B Abreu, 1B 4. Delmonico, LF Davidson, DH 5. Davidson, DH Castillo, C 6. Palka, RF Delmonico, LF 7. Anderson, SS Thompson, RF 8. Castillo, C Sanchez, 3B 9. Thompson, CF Engel, CF

More vaguely, both are defensively challenged power bats who won't hit for high averages at the major league level, but will crush the occasional baseball.

And possibly K at a high rate . I was just giving u a hard time. Sort of meant to put some kind of emoji to indicate that but I kind of forgot.?
May 6, 20187 yr Author It's been over 10 days...any words yet on his recovery/return? Also, probably not the right thread, but any progress update with Rodon? I know he is "supposed" to be back late May/early June.

For Avi, I thought the same thing so I googled and saw a quote from Hahn a couple of days ago where it will be a “few” weeks. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/whitesox/ct-spt-white-sox-joakim-soria-201803-story.html know nothing about Rodon since the last update which seemed encouraging.
