Kopech looking very sharp so far. He just walked his first hitter in the 3rd, but he got really squeezed on a pitch that looked very much in the zone to make it 3-1, and then the next pitch he pulled outside. I think he was frustrated with the Ball 3 call. Got the next hitter to pop up to end the inning.

3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K

Wow, Jose Rondon just made a tremendous diving stop up the middle, picked the ball up as he got to his feet and threw out Senzel.  Saved a hit off Kopech's line.

Kopech hits a batter, he steals with no throw on Kopech, then Kopech gives up a double off the wall. 1-1 tie. 

Kopech got pissed off and just started firing lasers. All fastballs, 98 MPH according to the broadcasters. Got him to groundout with a change-up.

4 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K.

1-2-3 inning. Kopech struck out the last batter on a nice breaking pitch. I think it was a change-up.

 

5 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K

He's probably done as he's at 98 pitches. 

6 IP, 1H, 1ER, 2BB, 8K

 

Can't wait to see him in Chicago

 

Nice game for Kopech. He turns 22 on Monday.

1-2-3 inning for Gomez, including striking out Senzel.

Rondon and Skole strand Alvarez at 3rd in the 9th. 1-1 tie. 

What a weird ending for Charlotte.

Ryan Brett pinch runs as the 2nd base auto guy in the top of the 10th, in his first game of the year in AAA, doesn't score.

Brett is then put at third base defensively for the bottom of the 10th - a position he has literally never played in his pro career. First pitch, the other team bunts, he throws it away, runner scores from 2nd and game over.

I feel bad for Ryan Brett.

2 errors behind him and a passed ball already in the first inning for Cease.

Adolfo homer.

Also pleased about the two BB for Adolfo, after a string of multi-K games.

Fun to see these guys perform in Winston-Salem.

Collins HR. 2/4 1 HR, 1 BB, 2 RBI, 0 K tonight so far, couple passed balls too.

Adolfo drives him in with a double of his own. He's now 2 for 3 with 5 RBI. 

At this rate, Adolfo and Basabe are going to be top 50 overall. Holy schnikies
