    Bad defense costs more runs. Narvaez has not had a good season at all.

    They can't do this because one of Castillo or Narvaez would then need to play in the field, with no other bench players available

    Since Palka and Engel have been used, the bench would be empty. Nobody would be available to replace whoever gets benched 

    Another game lost due to bad defense.
