  • Do what I did and tell your kids that the Cubs don't like legos and Toy Story. That will make them Sox fans quickly

  • Tell them the Cubs will steal their chicken nuggets as well.

That would be a dealbreaker for me. If it’s in Wrigley, he needs to be in Sox swag. Compromise.

Cooper's just been here a long time, and things don't seem to be working:  the young guys aren't responding and the vets aren't either.  Samardzija wanted out of here after a week, he didn't give Junior Guerra a chance and completely mis-evaluated him.  Just nothing has happened in years.

As for the hitting coach,  the guys who are supposed to hit are hitting; and some younger players have developed.  He has a lot of players with limited talent.

Yolmer swings a magic wand just about 100% of the time. He's really become pretty much the guy we hoped he'd be when he was down in W-S and Birmingham.

My problem with Giolito is his short leg kick with nobody on base. It is like he's not using his huge frame at all to generate power in his stuff. I need to go watch video of Giolito from the 2015 futures game and see what his motion looked like compared to now.

Aside from wanting a LHH in the middle of the order, is there another reason why Delmonico is hitting clean up?

Talking about the eye test, I love Abreu. His numbers this year don't jump off the page, but he's come so far from when he first came over. He's really on another level than anyone else on our team in terms of his overall competence at the plate.

He missed his spot by 25 inches

Just watched video of MLB debut for Giolito and it seems he had a completely different arm action then. I wish I could throw those gifs side by side I don't know how to do that.

Coops been here a long time I agree, whether he is the root of some of the recent results is probably true, but Samardzjia hasn’t done much since leaving either. Bottom line is this. This is JR team. Coop was a part of 05.I have heard he is also KW and the front offices mole. He never made much money as a marginal big leaguer in the early 80s. I thinks he has incentive to stay as long as his health permits. He like the rest of the KW, RH regime has total job security.

He's hanging everything

Giolito's control is becoming Rick Ankiel-ish.

Lucky, made some horrible pitches to Baez

God I hate Cubs fans

Effectively wild at this point..

If Renteria managed the Cubs still, they would have to forfeit by the 4th inning because none of their guys #HUSTLE down the line.

If he doesn't hit Rizzo, probably another 1-2-3 inning. Instead, he's pitching like he has the YIPS again.

I'm happy he's at least throwing pitches in the zone but he has to miss some bats. All of his decent starts have tended to go this way where you look later on and he basically never strikes anyone out

Which way is your son leaning ?

Delmonicos power has been disappointing, but he puts together some solid at bats

He is absolutely terrible. He really isn’t a big leaguer.

So Davidson is a thing

He doesn’t seem too interested at the moment lol.  But he will be if the Sox do something awesome.  We unfortunately missed the Davidson HR earlier.

Hit a bomb palka
