Wow thought Davidson had another.  No way does Lucas start the 6th

Hopefully we get the chance to pinch hit for him this inning.

  • Do what I did and tell your kids that the Cubs don't like legos and Toy Story. That will make them Sox fans quickly

  • Tell them the Cubs will steal their chicken nuggets as well.

That would be a dealbreaker for me. If it’s in Wrigley, he needs to be in Sox swag. Compromise.

Nicky D ties it with a triple scoring the motoring Abreu and Davidson sac fly to the wall puts the Sox up 4-3

I enjoyed the triple.

I concur

Davidson got jammed a bit and still hit it at the warning track.

With the wind blowing in. On a regular day, that ball is 10 rows deep

My take is that he’s bad. Do you disagree?

He's been in the majors for 4 months; he shows consistently good plate discipline.
He has a chance to be a good hitter.

Really playing with fire leaving Gio in here

Hendricks has got that 1-2 pitch all game

It'd be nice if he can get thru this inning with no trouble, though. I literally just walked into my place, but his stuff looks, uh, no worse than usual.

Even if he escapes the inning, it's a terrible decision. Either bring in the shit bullpen, or leave in the shit starter who's lucky to have given up 3runs. I understand either decision isn't ideal, but atleast the former allows him to avoid a worse outting

Gio looks better this inning than the others.. last one hopefully.

Hes up next inning so definitely

7 walks and a hbp

Haven't seen a pitcher give up 7 walks and only allowed 3 runs in a long time.

I suppose if you're gonna give up 8 free baserunners, he's been doing pretty well, hahah.

If you wonder whether the problem is Lucas's ability to repeat his release point... (this is just today)

It is.

Hendricks today for comparison:

Quite the line today. 3 WP as well?

And 5 steals

Also, for people watching the game, was Narvaez as bad behind the plate as Farmio and DJ made it sound?

Fry's ability to mix up his pitches out of the pen is astounding to me

Terrible

Fry looks waaay better since he spent time in AAA. I like him much more than Bummer with inherited runners on for example.

Worse...dropped two pitches and his framing was awful

He could not catch anything. Even when no one was on he just couldn't catch the ball at all.

None of the 5 stolen bases were his fault though

Nice catch...Palka doesn't get that
