This dude has looked "hitterish" to me... kind of a long swing, but he seems to square the ball up a lot.

No one has any thoughts on this dude... is that a good or bad thing!?

He gives me O Cab vibes

I like him. He's young and actually a decent prospect, unlike the guys we've been trying in the outfield. I'll think he'll stick in the majors, but maybe not with us.

I like his versatility on the infield. Maybe the Sox have found a solid replacement for Saladino. Anything more than that is a huge bonus.

With the guy being new to our system this year, I am guessing silence is due to this is the first time most people are seeing him.  What I see so far is a guy who seems very fundamentally sounds, without a real carrying tool that stands out.  He's a guy who you can plug it and he won't hurt you, but if he was a starter, you'd be looking for an upgrade.

Sounds like he could be a useful utility guy once the competing phase begins.

When I went down to Indy to see some Knights games, the dude was making great plays on defense, I believe at 2B. His swing does look a bit long, and homer-happy, but he could profile as a decent utility type guy I suppose.

He kinda reminds me of Saladino.  If he can stay healthy, maybe he can be a solid utility guy.  Never is going to hit much but he's flashed a bit.

speaking of Saladino...he's been doing VERY well over there for the Brew Crew...been batting .400 for them in 25 ABs.   Good for him....

Does anyone know why the Padres gave up on him? He's only 24 so not like he aged out.

If memory serves me right, didn't the Padres have a 40 man roster crunch?
