Luis Robert to Kannapolis

I wonder if it's just a warm-up. Surprising.

Here comes all of the moves.  I hope Keon Barnum saved his bonus check wisely.

I think its just because he is still a little rusty but extended spring training just ended. He will probably only be in kannapolis a week or two.

Good call on extended spring ending.

Wonder if this means Alec Hansen is going to get assigned somewhere soon too? With extended ending and all.

If he is ready, I am sure he will.

I think Kanny is the perfect assignment for Robert. He is still super raw as a hitter, so let him get his feet wet there. Let his production in Kanny  dictate whether he ends the season in Winston-Salem.

Are you implying that he will get promoted to Dash in a week or two?  Or, he will get hurt in a week or two? Or, he will go back to AZ Rookie League in a week or two?

Kanny is a rehab assignment for him. He will be in W-S very soon.

Would be finally so nice to see this kid play for an extended period of time. It's so hard to think of him as #25 in the top 100 based off nothing he has done in the states nor much of any baseball and constant injuries since the Sox signed him.

I’m sure Jirschele will take it.

The Winston-Salem Dash have a 2 game lead with 6 games left to play before next Tuesday night's All-Star game.  Buies Creek has 7 games left, including a DH on Tuesday (rain-out Mon).

Birmingham has an elimination number of just 1, and is in 5th place (out of 5 teams) in the Southern League North Division.
