Way to manage into that loss Ricky

Really glad we can't run for Abreu now

Oh, and that we have to hit Thompson

Bravo, Ricky. Bravo.

Take a bow!

Nice 2 game losing streak for RR....thank god he's a good cook

I'm thinking Trayce will be DFA'ed soon. Poor guy is gonna have to play Independent League soon or enter the real world. Just another guy who can't hit a baseball. Tough sport.

definitely had no use for Palka and Davidson there....none at all

Also it is time to put a lid on this Thompson shit

Ricky's over managing catches up again.  Ugh.

Now we know RR is gone. He won't be manager next season unless we're expected to lose 110 games again.

Just like he had Anderson and Moncada come into his office yesterday and tell them they need to focus more, maybe Hahn should do that with him.

Tigers 4, Renteria 3

What a joke. The bunt. The stupid ass use of bullpen, then having Palka on the bench for the .165 hitting Thompson. What a crock

LOL no shit.

What did I just witness. Palka is a joke in the field, but the boy can hit.

we are trying to lure the tigers back into the al central race so they can foolishly trade some of their prospects?

brilliant stuff, Hahn and Tricky Ricky.

Don't get your hopes up. If they fire him and hire someone legit, they will actually get criticism if they don't play well.

Girardi.

Girardi.

Most overlooked story of the year has been Heyman saying he had "informed speculation" that Girardi would be their next manager.

The last time any Sox manager had some legit pressure on them...Sept 2012 and May 2016, just two months since the 2010 season.

Think about that.

He just managed himself into a 9th inning, down by one run situation -- where he had his slowest runner on first representing the tying run. With his absolute worst hitter at the plate, with the game on the line. With all options exhausted.

And it was BEYOND avoidable...

And is Trayce really that much faster than Palka?  Palka is slow in the field but isn't as slow as you would think on the bases. Trayce isn't exactly Engel or Timmy running, and it was obvious when he had no shot going to 3rd on a soft single to RF.

I feel for the guy, but even he has to know that his days in Major League Baseball are extremely numbered and that he can't hang. He sees his numbers on the scoreboard every night.

Don't forget, he made two substitutions for pinch runners and then bunted, so he was still playing for one run (tie game).  If they had tied it in 8th, he was then down two of his more dangerous hitters.

Yeah, I've never thought of Palka as slow. He's moved it down the line to beat out a few ground balls this year for hits. This game included.

there was just no reason to burn through Rondon and avilan so quickly, especially if frye was unavailable...and they still ended up having to use Minaya against v.martinez as a lhb even though he made it into a life or death situation in the top of the 7th.

Yep using 3 solid relievers and then having Minaya throw almost 50 pitches doesn't seem like a sound game plan. Just hope everyone is healthy.

Mind boggling stupid. I think he just likes to interject himself into the game at times. Tonight was a full blown disaster and I am sure Gardenhire and company were....
