Hoping we at least still see some of Lucas' increased velocity from the last start, albeit without the control issues

I would like to see a non horseshit Giolito today.  Please and thanks.

Yep this being patient stuff isn't working. He just needs to swing at every fastball he gets. It's not like he's hit an offspeed pitch in over a month.

Oh my my....2 straight nice innings for Gio.

He's never played in weather this cold. Just wait until it gets warm out. Oh wait

Results wise. He was still missing his spots even on strikes

That pitch looked a lot closer than that live. Second strike was the bad call. Last pitch seemed like type of pitch they normally call a strike. He needs to learn to protect though and stop letting 50/50 calls get decided against him.

His curve seems way better today.

I'd normally agree with this type of thinking but I don't consider these to be 50/50 calls. There have been 6-7 strikeouts this month on calls that are a called strike 0-15% of the time

No doubt there's been some awful ones, but this one wasn't.

Yeah, and it certainly doesn't excuse him taking hittable fastballs more often than not. Just swing the f***ing bat.

Fastball at 91 out of the stretch

Yep, he still is a massive bust. Send him down please and have him see a psychologist. He walks one guy and it all blows up on him again.
