July 14, 20187 yr Every year we see examples of aging DH/1B types falling off a production cliff and yet we have all these "but Jose will age well" posts. I think we've seen the end of Jose Abreu as a productive regular in real time folks. It sucks but objectively this what it looks like.

Or maybe he needs to be focused out of the gate, as 4 mediocre fastballs led to a quick 2 runs against him. With that said, 11 swinging strikes so far is huge for him.
