It's the first inning and he just had a kid.  Relax people.

Knee to knee contact when Lopez tried to pick off base runner at 2B.  Probably will require a leg amputation with the way this season has gone.

From the side view on the broadcast you could see that Yoan starts to wince before Orlando could have made contact with him. It seems to mostly coincide with the ball hitting or coming very close to hitting him. Hopefully it's that rather than just his knee blowing out as he planted that foot.

If his knee blew out I doubt they’d let him walk off the field even with support.

Yea it's a good sign he was able to put some weight on it.  Probably rules out the worst case.

People can and do walk with torn knee ligaments, there's nothing to read into him walking off the field. That being said, hopefully it was just the ball hitting him.

Agreed, if they were worried about structural damage, then you would hope it was a cart.

I of course don't mean anything specific by "blow out" but FWIW people with ACL tears often walk off the field. And it's not like he looked comfortable walking on it.

Definitely seems to be the ball hitting him caused the injury

Day to day with a knee contusion is my guess.

Hopefully off tomorrow and then back next Friday.  Just hope Ricky doesn't have him steal :)

Bullcity on twitter, is that you?

I can’t believe Paulo Orlando & Jose Martinez are major leaguers while all our top OF prospects from that time period completely flopped.

My thoughts as well

Moncada should have had a glove on it before it hit his knee. Weak effort.

Nope

lol, lurk more.  if anything it was the usual pointless lopez pickoff attempt.

I bet it hit him right on the kneecap and he was probably in a helluva amount of pain.  Glad that the x-rays were negative hopefully he can be back after the ASG.

Watching Them there Bosox on MLBN and the announcers mention the score of the Chisox and Royals and then say “that’s any exciting series. Only a mother would watch that game.”

Lopez still in

Of course, has to allow more runners before they wake up.  No reason in the world to push him but they will.

What's funny is the White Sox won a 3 game series against Boston this year at Fenway...so they can shove it. But in hindsight, they're right lol.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     No lets not let our youngster feel positive about his outing.
