Yup -- im with you there. That was an awkward play -- it WAS caught, but ruled not caught... if I was the batter I probably would have stopped or slown down with that as well. Anyway, it happened in an instant... hard to really say Timmy didn't hustle or something based off of that.

Probably 95 pct of hitters do exactly what Timmy did. Renteria is a total joke

Moncada only 3 behind Gallo for MLB strikeout lead despite missing about ten games this year.Scratch that, two back. Sanchez 2 for his last 29.

  • Yoan looks like he has a doughnut on his bat tonight. Just god awful bat speed from the right side.

I’m surprised Shields wasn’t a hot commodity at the deadline. He can give you 7 innings of mediocrity with the best of them.

The AL Central is there to be dominated after this year. Cleveland loses a bunch of guys. Everyone else sucks so bad.

If most of these guys could just work out, winning divisions could get boring.

Of course, Leury has no plate discipline whenever Shields pitches.

could the sox score a run against the mets tonight?

Matty Ice strikes again against the Royals !

And to think that there are some Sox fans who think Davidson is all washed up.

How many hrs vs the royals is that?

Made up for it...

Yoan struck out twice in that at bat before grounding out.

I'm not liking this whole bring in a lefty reliever to face Yoan thing we're seeing a lot lately

Yep

Somethin’ a brewin’ here in the 8th!

Of course the KC bullpen is going to blow this.

Narvaez swung out on a pitch clearly outside the strike zone.

Leury swung on 2 pitches thaat were clearly outside the strike zone so poor is the plate discipline on this team.

KC wants to tank this so bad and we aren't letting them.

Of course, Avi hits into a double play.

It'd be fun it Yoan just parked one

Palka's final ball came on a pitch that was in the strike zone, but the umpire blew it.

Why do these losers keep on swinging on pitches that are clearly outside the strike zone?

For the love of god stop taking fastballs down the plate when you can't hit offspeed pitches. He's pulling off the ball horribly again.

Sorry KC but you can't out tank us.

Cause they're not very good (and their hitting coach sucks)
