Garfien/Cooper podcast

Really great listen. I'd also recommend anyone that doesn't regularly listen to this podcast to give this one a listen. Coop talks a lot about the prospects in the system.

Great interview!  Coop gets fired up and you can tell/feel his passion.  He's not planning on going anywhere for awhile sounds like.

Why are we not supposed to like Coop? I haven't really heard an explanation for that one yet.

Edit

I don't mean you specifically. I meant that at the board.

Good insights on the pitchers. He whines a lot though.

The attendance stuff was unnecessary. Claiming the Astros had great fan support during their rebuild is laughable.

I don't think it's out of line to ask for the fans to show their support though. Plus he clearly identified us (the diehards), so I think what he was implying is that he would like to see more of our/this boards love for the team than a casual fan. It would be nice if the Sox had more recognition in the city than they do. It can't possibly help someones mentality to be on a shitty baseball team and also have empty stands.

Since 2006, the Sox have been in the top 10 in ERA once; top 15 4 times; bottom 15 9 times.

It's not a matter of liking/hating.

Is the job getting done or not?  And how could someone with those results be some untouchable guru?

Evaluating our pitching staff based on ERA is completely ignoring the bandbox in which we play in.
