2019 Schedule

11am release

Early this year. I’m expecting weird Saturday-Sunday two game series with the Cubs.

I believe they play the NL East for interleague next year, but I could have read it incorrectly.

Yes. They played the East in 2016.

Matt Albers hitting and running vs Mets was the highlight.

Opening in KC on March 28th, Home opener April 4th against Mariners.

So EloyDay April 15th home vs KC?

6 games vs the royals, 7 games vs Detroit and 6 vs the Orioles in the first month.

Better come out ready to burn through that schedule.

Heres a link if googling aint your thing - Schedule

Anyone know when the minor league schedule is released? Want to do a road trip to birmingham next year.

They're updating the link game by game... I'm refreshing it's a slow process.

Funny road trip alert-right after the allstar break...

Oakland to Kansas City to Tampa Bay to Chicago without an off day in there.

I think it is asking for trouble again to have such an early start to the season. And 14 home games in April in what will probably be brutal weather can't possibly be making the marketing department or organization very happy.

Got it. Thanks.

Starting in KC? Davidson will have another 10 homer April.

I was hoping the Miami series would be on the road. That would be a fun trip.

I've been saying April 12th for the Eloy debut---Yankee Stadium?

April 15th vs KC seems more marketable.

That April schedule is really favorable.

So now that we know Opening Day is March 28, do we know what the earliest date is to bring up Eloy Jimenez? If it's under 2 weeks, it would be pretty cool if he could play in the Tampa Bay series before going to Yankee Stadium.

If you are on the roster for 172 days it is considered a season. I believe the magic number is 12 days of NOT being on the roster to come in under a year,  or at least that is what it was before the schedule was altered last year.

Why would they schedule a Friday night off in July?

They probably had an option for the Cubs series- Tuesday/Wednesday or Saturday/Sunday.

It does look weird.

First 54- 25 home, 29 away

Middle 54- 31 home, 23 away

Last 54- 25 home, 29 away

Isn’t that good to have a bunch of home games from May 27 to August 1?

As far as the early start again, it was going to be a bad April this year no matter what. 2018 will prove to be an outlier.

I didn't realize there was a long range forecast out already for March / April 2019.

We'll see.

How would you schedule games? Keep in mind 81 home 81 road, 24 off days per team, 76 division games, and teams in warm weather and domes don’t want excessive April games either- their kids go to school too.

It's called the Farmer's Almanac.
