Double Game 163 Thread

Featured Replies

Quadruple game 162 day was a dud, but tomorrow should be better. Although it seems wrong that the worst of the 5 NL playoff teams gets to relax and set their roatation while the 4 better teams have to scuffle and patch together some pitching

Brewers at Cubs, noon.

Rockies at Dodgers,  3 PM.

  • As most of you know this is my first season watching , I've been reading up on Post Season and trying to get my head around what is going on with these one-off tiebreakers , think I'm up to speed

So there’s a chance we get to see the Brewers celebrate at Wrigley and then the loser of Rox/Dodgers celebrate at Wrigley.  This would be outcome preferable.

Yelich knocks in 1st run of the game and steals second,

Good thing I took tomorrow off.

Go Brewers

You’re right. Braves win 90 and wait.

Brewers/Cubs win 95, Dodgers/Rockies win 91. Hey, go play more baseball. It would be to the Cubs and Dodgers, but if they’re all in the dance, I’d be for just going by the season series.

Better yet, get rid of divisions and play a balanced schedule. Could have had a good race in the AL with Cleveland, Seattle, and Tampa Bay.

I actually like this.  It would get rid of rivalries and such but I hate the playing of division foes, 19 times a year.

I think the Brewers and Dodgers win.  The Cubs will wet the bed.  The Brewers kept grinding until the end of the season and just would not fucking lose!

Unfortunately, Quintana owns the Brewers. Their roster is hitting .203 off of him. Yelich is 1/11. Shaw  is 1/16.  Arcia is 0/18. Braun is 6/29.

Cain is the only one with good success of Quintana, and even that's only a .291 AVG and .756 OPS.

Especially when ours are boring. I have zero interest in visiting Detroit nor Cleveland (been there once for a game. One day was all I needed).

Man do I wish I was off today.

Quintana gets shelled today.

MLB should swap AL wildcard and NL wildcard due to the scenarios today.

Thought the same thing last night. They are dug in with their TV partners.

Brewers win 7-1, Quintana chokes and gives up 4 ER in 2.2 ip, Cubs offense can't hit good pitching .

Yeah whoever loses that NL West game 163, will lose Tuesday.  That's a lot of traveling in a short time!

These games will both come down to how deep these teams want to get into their bullpens.  A loss today sucks but a loss tomorrow ends your season.

The travel definitely favors Cub/Brewer

Rockies could go from Col to LA to Milwaukee to Chicago in four days that's rough

The Braves sitting pretty right now in that first round as is the winner of the cub/Brewer game

Quintana owns the Brewers.....7-1 cubs

Dodgers win 3-2

Have you seen Q's ERA in day games at Wrigley?

Yelich is walking 4 times, they better knock him in those 4 times

Chacin has better numbers against the Cubs than Q against Brewers.

Brewers have been great their last 30 games and Yelich has been unreal for those 30 and the 2nd half putting up huge numbers. Right now he's a legend in Milwaukee.

How Yelich does this game may determine their fate.

I pounded the Brewers.  I think they have the swag and want it more than the cubs.

Even walking yellich Everytime puts 1 , 2 or 3 runners on, Braun and aguilar will get good pitches to hit .

I know Q has good stats against Yelich but pretty nuts to let him beat you with 1b open.

Yeah Yelich for MVP seems like a safe bet.
