Frankly, if Avi was willing to sign a 3/$18 deal at his age, I wouldn't want him. The guy signing that deal doesn't believe in himself. 

So you think if Avi has another good year he's worth $100M ? What are you smokin ? If he has another good year he actually might be worth what Caulfield wanted to pay him in the 1st place. Believing in yourself has nothing to do with the possibility of getting injured. $18M is still $18M .might not seem like much when we talk baseball contracts but it's a hell of a lot of money.
