Hi Mom!!!

Eloy got us on the board, 2-0.

Also I cant tell if Moncada went against the shift with that hit on purpose, or if he just got lucky.

Talk about a strong finish.  My buddies who are Cubs fans are crying even more about the Q trade now.

Hoping for a good start for Lopez today against the AAAA Tigers.

And it's not just Eloy, it's also Moncada and Anderson and others Those 3 hot at the same time is what's very exciting.

With Robert and Madrigal coming.  I am getting very excited.

I'm so happy he got to 30.  That is a great benchmark for him, especially with how much time he missed.

Way to go Eloy!  Also, Lopez doesn’t look right. Fastball at 92 to start and just lollypopping his curve

I sure hope the Sox sign another starter and let Lopez compete for the #5 spot.

And that HR wass probably the one he has pulled the most all season. Usually they are to left center when he pulls it which I don't even really count as pulled. That one was to straightaway left.

I'm sure he just hits the ball where it's pitched and doesn't try to do too much except make solid contact.

Nice piece of hitting by Mendick. Didn't let that bad strike 2 call that put him in the hole 0-2 affect him.

Do you mean two starters?  They’re obviously going to add at least one guy this offseason.  Adding two would be prudent as Lopez should probably move the pen long-term.

Kind of had that epiphany lately with him that he’s really not a vital member of the rebuild anymore

Yeah, I think signing one starter is a given. But Lopez shouldn’t be just handed a rotation spot and instead compete with a buy low candidate like Wacha or Archer.

Lopez's stuff is still good enough to keep throwing him out there as a 5th day. When he's on, he's pretty devastating. He just can't find consistency.

Many young pitchers throughout baseball history have started with a few bad years to start a career. Many more have never become good pitchers after starting that way. But he just can't be written off as a starter .

Mendick has done nothing but impress in that small sample size. His versatility should earn him a 26 man spot.

Might be goodbye Leury instead, or both if a trade pops up.

I just don’t think Cooper will be the guy to unlock Lopez’s potential.  I think an org the Astros would quickly turn him into a solid #3 type.

He needs to completely retool his breaking pitches and arm angle
