  • There was nothing in his numbers last year to suggest he was a good acquisition

  • Buehrle would be in the 6th by now.

You mean it's not possible to replace a 5 war SP without adding an actual SP to the roster?? good thing there's plenty of upper minros pitching depth on the way ?

At least Eloy hustled down the line.

Who had Gavin Sheets infield single in the pool??

I think it was to the A’s GM

It definitely could have been…just sad if their big plan coming out of the lockout was hoping they could scoop up a rental SP.  But at this point I think we’d all be ecstatic if they could get him without giving up Sheets.

Leury and Josh Harrison are gonna kill so many potential big innings this year

Oh Leury...

Best get used to it now I suppose...

I just can’t believe after all our groundball problems last year Hahn’s first big move was locking up Leury for three years.  SMFH…

Lets hope they both aren't in the line up together too many times...

Slap Factory 2.0!!  And the best part is they probably won’t be the last two hitters in the lineup.

Utility players and relievers can get 3 years from RH, but surely not in their prime position players like Conforto

Hahn was shocked other teams also valued starting pitching. He was caught off guard. Thought he found a market inefficiency

I thought paying $22.3M per incremental via relief pitching was the market inefficiency.

Not upgrading backup C is yet another off-season failure for Hahn

But if Hahn acquires a BC then that’s one less 1st round pick Hahn can brag about being part of the core.

If Hahn was truly caught off guard by the price of pitching, that's still an indictment.

I don't see why everyone gets so excited about this Ohtani guy...I played baseball with a lot of guys in HS who pitched and played the field...big deal.
