  • There was nothing in his numbers last year to suggest he was a good acquisition

  • Buehrle would be in the 6th by now.

You mean it's not possible to replace a 5 war SP without adding an actual SP to the roster?? good thing there's plenty of upper minros pitching depth on the way ?

Is a pop up better than a ground ball?

Leury and Harrison are gonna get way too much playing time

That had TLR written all over it to me.

I know Tony was part of the VV acquisition.  I guess KW and RH must have been busy picking up JRs dry cleaning and lunch and missed Tony running the DBacks into the ground.

I thought paying $22.3M per incremental via relief pitching was the market inefficiency.

Obviously this was the one he could execute on. All these other stupid teams giving only 1 year and a couple two year contracts to relievers. They don't realize prices are gonna sky rocket next off-season and hahn has his locked in for 3.

And that’s the problem…hard to tell what’s Hahn vs Tony.  Although in reality if Hahn’s authority has been compromised then he should probably just quit and find a new job.

Utility players and relievers can get 3 years from RH, but surely not in their prime position players like Conforto

If you ever needed proof of missing the market, that’s it right there.

I'm only surprised they didn't bring Dave Stewart into the chain of command with TLR.

Interesting that Hendriks is pitching a lot more frequent than Kimbrel so far

Especially against RHP…like this organization still doesn’t get how platooning works.

Lets hope they are holding him back to save from injury before a trade.

Hendriks can only close as well....who knew??

I'd think that if he were shoppable - they'd want to shop him.

Poppy told me the sox have a lot more top secret data that we don't have access to so we should not question their logic.

Has he only pitched that one inning so far?

Good news....we are in the 5th inning and I have not heard that damn Nationwide jingle......please stop now boys!!!

Yes, and my uneducated prediction is he’s traded in the next 48 hours to the Phillies or Dodgers.

Looks like Hendriks is throwing 93-94 today to the naked eye

If I'm the Phillies or Dawjahs, I want to see him pitch at least a little.

I'm worried him looking so bad 2 days ago will put a hold on any trade talks, but that's (probably??) irrational
