Good start for 19 y.o. Gabriel Rodriguez (year 2 in DSL), who struck out 3 so far.

No Erick Hernandez today.

We do have Guillermo Rodriguez leading off.

From Badler:

Quote

Guillermo Rodriguez, SS, Venezuela: Rodriguez has a strong, compact build (5-foot-10, 175 pounds) and stands out for his defensive ability at shortstop. An above-average runner, Rodriguez is an instinctive defender who breaks well off the bat, moving well laterally and coming in on the ball with an above-average arm. He has a short swing and gap power from the right side.

And sure enough he made 1st on an error, stole 2nd, then got thrown out at 3rd. Wish more of our DSL players would just wreak havoc like this.

Ryan Burrowes is the other guy to watch in this lineup, starting 2b.

Ronny Hernandez is a 17 y.o. signed just in June and hit a double. Catcher from Turmero, Venezuela it looks like.

Started scoring runs after I stopped paying attention.

The top of lineup both had a great game.

Burrowes was 2-4 with a 2B, 3 RBI and a SB, most importantly no Ks
Guil Rodriguez finished 2-4 with that SB.

Also apparently Ronny Hernandez double was changed to a single and stolen base at some point lol.

Yikes AZL looks pretty boring until July.

Yeah they’re gonna be brutal. This is kind of what happens when you employ the strategy the Sox do though. Most teams top international signings are in the complex league now but the Sox guys are stateside because they were older

Anderson Comas pitched in relief.  Is that a position player pitching or has he converted?  I remember early on he had buzz comparable to Mieses.

Has there ever been an MLB player named Guillermo? Just does not scream baseball player lol

He’s transitioned to the mound apparently. Just could never hit

That is really interesting.  Had no idea.

Cam butler had a 3b last night.

My god Elijah Tatis had one of the worst careers of any minor league player I can remember.

Another 0-4 4K night, and it’s like that like every game. Not trying to be mean but it’s kinda hard to believe, it’s like what would happen if you stuck a 14 year old in a game.

Sommer pitching for Kanny tonight. In case anyone else was wondering if it was going to be Vera.

Appears Edwin Peralta did the same for the DSL team. Played 1B mostly last year, got hit in relief today.
