The Braves took Justin Janas.  Hit over (no) power 1B.  Some say he's Sean Casey.  Good luck with that.

Brooks Baldwin
UNC-Wilmington INF
Notes:
HT: 6-2 | Wt: 175 | B-T: B-R
Commit/Drafted: Giants '21 (15)
Age At Draft: 21.9
The Colonial Athletic Association player of the year hit .347/.406/.621 this year, marking the second straight year that he’s posted a .900-plus OPS. The switch-hitter should be able to remain a plus hitter in pro ball, with plenty of bat speed and line-drive oriented swings that produce extra-base hits in the gaps more than home runs. An above-average runner, Baldwin has played second base, shortstop, third base and all three outfield spots. He is best in the outfield, where he has an above-average arm and average range, but he may profile best at second base. Baldwin turned down the Giants in the 15th round last year. He was even better this year, and a strong performance in the Cape Cod League should further help his draft stock.

Wow the Brewers took Luke Adams.  Huge power but he has a giant hitch in his swing.  Unathletic at 3B will have to move to 1B/DH.

Colonial Athletics Conference Baseball player of the year with Round 12......3B Brooks Baldwin.

Versatile and should remain a plus hitter in pro ball.  That sounds nice,

Seems like the seniors the sox picked have performed well in wood bat leagues. I wonder if we'll hear these guys were good value that got screwed by last years pandemic backup

Is that right?  The Orioles pick in the 13th is 7 foot tall?

Holy shit they took that guy.  He was at a JC in Illinois.  He's a giant but has one of the slowest arms you'll ever see.

Time to feel old again as Marquis Grissom Jr is drafted.

He was definitely good in the cape but his k rate also exploded so may be something to watch for in bigger competition.

Jacksonville RHP

Notes:

HT: 6-0 | Wt: 200 | B-T: R-R
Commit/Drafted: Never Drafted
Age At Draft: 22.4
A semi-productive starter at Jacksonville, Adams’ strikeout-to-walk ratio (108-to-31) and fielding independent pitching numbers were better than his 4.80 ERA. Adams is a strike-throwing righthander with feel for pitching and average secondaries (low-80s slider, mid-80s changeup) that help make up for a fringe-average 91-93 mph fastball. He’s a senior sign candidate as a money saver.

Whoa the Red Sox took Gavin Kilen.  I was told he was going to school.

Seems to be a bold pick in the 13rd round.....

Not trying to be offensive, but do you even know 2% of the day 3 remaining draft class?

I think most of us have zero clue who any of these guys are outside of those drafted in the first 2-3 rounds based on watching the College World Series and reading scouting publications.

I know all of them

Here's a question: what's the lowest round draft pick from 2019 or earlier that's still in the Sox system?

Not sure, but #34 is in the system.  He hasn't done much and it may be just because he got a big bonus.
#29 is in the system as well.

You can't draft Mario Camilletti's every round
