I think Sosa's time is coming at some point this year, but there is no reason to make the switch yet

Give Romy a shot there.

  • You seem to keep insinuating in your posts that LaRussa was not a problem.  He clearly was.  Not the whole problem, but a pretty damn big one.

  • I'm still happy we did the Grandal deal...we targeted the top choice at a position and spent the money.

  • A single tear descends down Yaz's face as he remembers the shift can no longer hurt him.

So we can eventually part ways with him...just like Rodon?

That's going to be the sad part...because TA won't give another team-friendly deal to anyone.  He wants to get paid.

I'm not going to cheer for players on the team to not perform so they cost Jerry less money.

but I also don't think a ~200M deal is coming for TA when he'll turn 32 in year 1 of his next contract.

Good AB andrew

Grifol is obviously at least attempting to change the subdued tone of this team from last year...but we still don't have the D and bullpen that the Twins and Guardians throw at you.

This is a fair point. Also worth noting his injury history as well

AV's plate discipline has been a lot better this year. This lineup badly needs to him to be a high OBP/walks guy.

We'd all be a lot more optimistic about what we were seeing if our pitching wasn't Paniagua level.

Even so, something like 3/100m would be too expensive for the Sox.

Don't help him out

the least advantageous situation in baseball for the batter is upon us.

Key at-bat of the game coming here...

Velasquez hurt?

Bases loaded. It's over for the Sox.

Good take

And he will get 5-6 years from someone in "win now" mode.

Book it.

He's a much more dynamic DJ LeMahieu...minus the walks.

1-2... .

95 center cut couldn't square it up.

Still a game for now...

That’s one way to score!
