Sloan may end up being a dude.  He's got a really good arm and has improved his strike throwing this summer.

I was very against Caglianone until this post…now I am all in

  • I don't hate him, but I would say the worst pairing in the world would have to be Wetherholts soft tissue and the chicago white sox.

  • I would not draft a college 1b. It’s not just Vaughn and Torkelson.  There’s also Pavin Smith, Nolan Schanual made to the majors but he’s not gonna be an impact bat.  Jacob Berry looks like a bust.  R

Dude is 6'8" and creates some serious downhill angle.  Me likey.

Ken's cousin.  Pretty smooth and easy w/some X-fire action.

This dude has made a huge jump the last few months.  The head snap/command wil llead to some significant reliever risk but the arm strength is undeniable.

That low slot creates a tough angle and some serious life thru the zone.

Holy smokes this dude throws a freakin hammer.

Hayse is super athletic w/a fast arm and a chance for a plus slider but he's still very raw and doesn't often repeat his mechanics.

Curiel might be my fav bat in the HS class.  Kid's got a fantastic swing.

Jeez the WS are running out some crazy good arms this week.  This dude might be the best of the bunch.

Whoa.  Crafton got all of that one. ?

It sure seems like this class is going to be heavy in HS pitching when it's day 4 and teams are still running out arms like this.

My guy JD finally put a good swing on one. He has a shoulder thing he has to get taken care of but he has an extremely high ceiling.  It's all there.

This kid's got a fantastic swing.  Short quick line dr stroke w/direct path to the ball. He does a great job staying inside the baseball.  Beautiful.

Say no to college 2B at the top of the draft.

Easier said then done with Bazzana and Weatherford in a super-thin class.  I think Bazzana is probably not limited to 2b. He's gonna play ss this year at OSU and he's athletic enough to play OF, but yeah, not a good history.

Why?

College 2B don't provide enough ceiling to be picked that high and the recent history of college 2B picked in the first round is not good.  Unless you tell me a guy is going to be Chase Utley I would rather take a SS, P, CF  with the top pick and get a 2B later in the draft.

The boys are in Jupiter this week.  Morlando has a goofy setup but he has as much raw power as anyone in the draft and should hit enough to get to it.  Defensively he'll likely start his career in an OF corner then eventually settle in at 1B.

Caminiti was LOUD again. It seems he has established himself as the LOUDEST....I mean the best HS pitcher in the draft.

Bonemer has a short quick swing w/above avg power potential.  He should be able to stay on the dirt.
