In that insanely dumb decision that Jerry fired Hahn but brought TLR back as GM or in any FO capacity,  I will unequivocally be DONE being a Sox fan, until Jerry sells the team and is completely gone.

TLR is too involved in efforts to bring an MLB franchise to Nashville at this point...

Smart teams bid adieu to the Lance Lynn's and fill the void from their player development stockpile.  Dumb teams sign the Lance Lynn's because they don't have a clue what player development is.  Sorry Lance, that I had to use you as an example.

I was too critical.  They did pass on  Abreu at just the right time.  So they were right once.

Which will happen first?

Immaculate inning against the Sox

Perfect game against the Sox

4-homer game against the Sox

Sox hit into triple play.

Maybe JR’s latest effort at protecting TLR’s legacy is to make the team astronomically worse after Tony’s departure, making him seem better in comparison, thus salvaging his legacy.

No, Jerry just stopped the clearly ineffective Hahn spending spigot after Tony left. Jerry will likely significantly cut payroll over the next three seasons unless there is a miraculous turn-around and attendance can be salvaged. Jerry had incentive to spend with known guaranteed revenue after the pent-up COVID cabin fever demand and his BBF Tony managing, but does not have incentive to spend with the current group or likely on-field performance expectations in 2023 and beyond.

Hahn is just here to collect unearned paychecks. The White Sox organization is the Webster's Dictionary definition example of quiet quitting, Liam,  a few others and shitcanned Jose Abreu being the outliers in terms of giving a s%*# within the organization. Hahn feigns giving a s%*#, and likely doesn't like being embarrassed by what he accomplished, but in the end guaranteed cash does not create accountability or results.

Rays schooled this organization with a sweep a fraction of payroll and best record in baseball.  8 games under 500 with the injuries should be 500.  What a disaster

Doesn’t Abreu start slow literally every year?

It's been a slower month but not .568 OPS slow.
