Gonzalez won't remain above Ramos for long, IMO.

I have watched a fair amount of the Barons. From my looks, I got Ramos > Quero.  I like Quero, he looks like a for sure catcher, which is valuable, but Ramos is good at 3b and his impact is way more than Quero offensively. He consistently hits the ball hard.

Not that it matters much. There's a top 2, then the Sox have a ton of players in a similar tier and where you decide to rank guys in that tier involves a lot of coin flips.

So far, not a fan of Gonzalez.  Sox are in the process of changing his swing, which, if you're going to do that, why pick an offense first player at 15?  Right now, he is trying to inside out EVERYTHING. With that approach, it's almost impossible for him to hit anything hard.  In college, he used to turn and burn on anything inner half. That made him vulnerable away, but at least there was a chance for impact. Hopefully, this is a transitional state and once his mechanics get comfortable, he'll pull more pitches.

Yeah his college teammate Calvin Harris is more productive so far, at least at the plate, which is concerning. Maybe once he is more comfortable with swing changes he will improve.

I remember Law said he could move quickly and be in AA relatively soon but I'm not seeing it so far.

It’s not concerning. Nothing that happens this year will be concerning. College hitters in draft season, especially now need to be given lots of runway.

People seem to think so but he's going to be #4 for MLB Pipeline as well

I believe that. Motherf***ers act like they forgot about Ramos.

FWIW, Fangraphs has Ramos as the #44 prospect on The Board.

I don't think they've done a ton of in-season updates. Korey Lee is still #75 on the board, which, uh..

You’re probably right, but I don’t recall him ever being this high on a Fangraphs prospect list.  Not even sure I remember making the top 100, but if he did he was in the 80 to 100 range.
