Canario was the only "savior" on the horizon for many here for a long while. A couple still speak longingly of him, as if he's still the key to a winning season.

I think that if Getz was foolish to offer any of Fletcher, Colas, DeLoach or Julks for Canario, the Pirates would jump at the opportunity to dump Canario. Weird how he's not leading the league in HRs.

Last year, you said you would be fine with starting Julks in a corner outfield platoon this season.  So why are you even trying to talk trash?

Guess who acquired the majority of bum outfielders you just mentioned in your post — your boy Getz.  Congratulations to him.

And no, I doubt the Pirates would want our older OF trash for their younger version.

No, instead your favorite GM picked up the absolutely worthless Greg Jones who struck out 30 times in 71 plate appearances for a .512 OPS not in the majors, but in the minors.  Last time I checked, at least Canario still had a job in the majors.

Also ironic that you would call out any players considering you have tried to fluff up the absolute worst scrubs that Getz has acquired over the past two years with zero shame.

Now imagine an absolutely worthless Greg Jones that you had to keep on your 26-man roster forever!! LMFAO!! That's what the Pirates have and that's what you wanted us to have to watch every night. I'm sure the Pirates are too afraid to admit a mistake to DFA Canario. At least Getz was brave enough to take the heat and move his mistakes off the 40-man.

Greg Jones...who jumped from THE worst team in modern baseball history...to maybe the second or third worst team in baseball history, lol.

Encouraging...

In fact, jumped to quickly he didn't have time to get his new Sox gear before he was sent packing again, not unlike Gage Workman.

Canario has a 26.79% strikeout rate in the majors for the Pirates while not getting full playing time.

Greg Jones was striking out at an astronomical rate of 42.25%, not in the majors but in AAA for Charlotte.

Keep trying.

Once again, Getz couldn’t correctly assess his own asshole from a hole in the ground.

And Julks is killing it offensively, right now. About as good as Tim Elko was. It's a rebuild. If you guys are laying down on the sidewalk and crying because Gage Workman didn't get more at bats, then I don't see why Corey Julks couldn't get a month on the parent club.

See here's the difference. When pressed, I said I'd be fine with Corey Julks as the weak half of a platoon. I didn't post multiple times in multiple threads every day that Julks was the answer to every question in baseball, then screaming that Getz sucked for not doing the thing I just made up that I was demanding.

Canario sucks. Admit it, and move on. Seriously, you should be writing letters to Chris Getz thanking him for his wisdom in not acquiring Canario. I don't think you could take watching one of your weird, off-the-wall, designed to suck moves night after night.

Jones was AAA CF depth who offered elite defense. There's nothing to "try", or "defend". It was a fine pickup for what it was. Maybe Pittsburgh just fired their manager because he wasn't highlighting Canario in their new high-powered offense. LOL.

Crushing AAA as a 29 year old in his fourth straight year in AAA likely means dick, but you already know this.

Once again, you continue to misrepresent and flat out lie about what other posters have stated.  I already responded to you in the past with my own quotes in which I said Canario could easily be an absolute bust but I would still rather see what he could do over bums like Taylor and whomever else the Sox were starting at the time because Getz failed to add any outfielders worth a damn.

Then it's a good thing they didn't pick up Canario to take on 120 strikeouts and lose even worse than they're already doing. Who's the next piece of garbage you want the White Sox to start for the next 120 games while you scream he was the worst pickup in history? LOL.

We could instead revisit the posts about having too much pitching this spring instead.

Im still waiting for the second straight season for that “lockdown bullpen” that WestEddy predicted…

Well, you can get MLB.tv, and watch Canario ride the bench for Pittsburgh, then strike out when the team needs a hit. Then you could turn on the Sox game and see the whole starting lineup hit better than Canario. Best of both worlds. I'm sure Chris Getz would just say, "You're welcome."

I did call the 2024 opening day bullpen lockdown once or twice. Yes I did. I will not deny that.

You did want Michael A. Taylor, and screamed about it all last year. Now you finally have him on your team. I'm sure Chris Getz would just say, "You're welcome".

And while we're on silly things we've said, have you accepted that Luke Keaschal was never on the table for Fedde? Or are you still living out that fantasy?

Bwahahahaha, nice game of numbers you are playing there.

One guy is on the bench for the Pirates.  Meanwhile the Sox have starting players like Vaughn with a .545 OPS and a handful of other starters that are barely above a .600 OPS.  The Sox are last in team OPS at .612.

Absolutely hilarious that you would try to tout this complete and utter pile of s%*# lineup that Getz built.

And most of those players are guys you screamed that you want getting at bats. Meidroth, Quero, Elko, Vargas, Baldwin, Sosa, Taylor. I'm sure Chris Getz would just say, "You're welcome".

I wanted Taylor two offseasons ago.  Then he sucked last year and was another year older (34) so I realized he was likely done.  I wasn’t excited about his signing this past offseason.

But continue to misrepresent things the way you always do.

Regarding Keaschall, an actual notable MLB sports writer reported it.  Why am I silly to have believed it?

You can’t win this argument.  Your GM absolutely blows and only the Rockies are saving any face for him right now.

You are literally rage posting in a 69 page thread titled, “Fire Chris Getz”.

Give it up, grandpa.

You misrepresented what he reported, dug in and argued that what Hayes actually said (his name "was mentioned"), meant that an actual trade offer was made and rejected by Getz, in the face of rational people explaining that most probably wasn't what happened. That's why you're silly to have pretended to believe it.

What argument? I'm just reminding you of the things you've said you wanted. I'm chilly-willy, dude. And if I was your grandpa, my son would have known better than to have raised a kid who trolls as poorly as you do.

I didn’t misrepresent anything.  Here’s an article on the story which includes the tweet.

Get off my nuts and hop back on Getz’s.

So Dan Hayes heard something, reported it, then "unheard it," basically...of course, he COULDN'T possibly want to protect his relationship with the Twins for causing a player to be upset (with his organization) since he's suddenly the subject of quite public trade rumors.

Of course, the reality is ANY player would want to be desired or desirable to other teams...if nobody wanted to trade for you, that's probably a BAD thing, right?

I don't see an article. Oh, I get it. It's a pretend article.

Oh, that’s right.  WestEddy was trolling caulfield about the Padres’ bad record earlier in the season.

Oops.  My how things change, except for Getz’s awful White Sox.
