I was at that game as well with my dad and had the same impression. Lillibridge was on fire at the time. I must have ranted an hour straight from the moment Dunn stepped out of the dugout

The Sox were down 7-3 going into bottom of the 8th, scored one in eighth and two in ninth, when Lillibridge was due up with Paulie on deck. Lillibridge had walked and homered and Ozzie sent in Dunn for him to whiff, killing the rally

Getz should be sending Bill Schmidt flowers and candy on a weekly basis.  The Rockies are so bad this year that they provide some cover for Getz and the second worst team in baseball.

Rockies are in a brutal division. Imagine of the Sox played in that division.

Yeah, they’re 2-14 against AL Central.  There’s not much lower you can go when you’re already at the bottom of the barrel.  Maybe they get blown out more.

Devers is unhappy  in Boston. He doesn't want to play either 1st base or DH. He wants to play at 3rd Base where he always played. I would think his days are numbered in Boston. I realize that Getz isn't going to trade for him but some team will acquire him.

I don't think he would play 3B if they asked him to at this point. I think it's more "you told me I suck defensively and I need to DH only and put the glove away and now you say you want me to play a position."

Having said that, if he was open to making the move to 1B outside of the season and work on it during the offseason and Spring Training for the next season, I'd be down. Obviously, we won't though but some team would be willing.

The contract is good compared to what we've seen the past few months (Soto, Vlad Jr).

If we really seem to care about how good of a teammate a guy is, this dude seems like the opposite.

Those were the days. Caring enough to be mad after a game. Has been a long time since I actually cared about the Sox final score. Thanks Jerry and everybody for getting this team to the point of total irrelevance. Highlight of this season will be learning the Pope is a Sox fan.

Dunn was used to relievers throwing 88 not 95 he said.

Then it's a good thing they didn't pick up Canario to take on 120 strikeouts and lose even worse than they're already doing. Who's the next piece of garbage you want the White Sox to start for the next 120 games while you scream he was the worst pickup in history? LOL.

No, instead your favorite GM picked up the absolutely worthless Greg Jones who struck out 30 times in 71 plate appearances for a .512 OPS not in the majors, but in the minors.  Last time I checked, at least Canario still had a job in the majors.

Also ironic that you would call out any players considering you have tried to fluff up the absolute worst scrubs that Getz has acquired over the past two years with zero shame.

Canario was the only "savior" on the horizon for many here for a long while. A couple still speak longingly of him, as if he's still the key to a winning season. 

I think that if Getz was foolish to offer any of Fletcher, Colas, DeLoach or Julks for Canario, the Pirates would jump at the opportunity to dump Canario. Weird how he's not leading the league in HRs.
