Sox trotting out another pitcher with an ERA over 5 last year. I'd say he's probably only a spring training arm, except that doesn't seem right, he's probably slotted in as the setup guy.

Sloppy lack of attention to the Mariners runner leads to a SB and then a sac fly. New year, preseason, same old Sox.

Eloy has modified his stance a bit, slightly less open. Still led to a weak waive at an outside changeup for the K. I dunno, he's just a guess hitter, that's obvious. His stance isn't going to magically fix that. Maybe he can run into enough fastballs to return something at the trade deadline.

I watched most of the game, there's just absolutely no juice on this squad. There's some decent players but there's not any sort of exciting talent if Colson isn't playing. The guys that are decent are known quantities , the unknown quantities are either journeyman or never will bes.

Remember some of those late 90s Sox teams that gave up 8 runs most nights but scored 7? Those teams were sorta fun bad. This one I think is just gonna be bad bad.
