The biggest would have been getting Kristian Campbell last year from Boston before he completely blew up. But Crochet had yet to prove he could make it through an entire season. Then on paper you would also have a 3 fWAR RFer in McCarthy...although not much remaining control.

Yeah, but I’m not going to blame the White Sox for that. I’m sure Getz asked for Campbell but Boston was never going to give him up per reports. However, they had a real shot at both Eldridge (#24) and Keaschall (#61). For some reason thought he was closer to arbitration...at any rate, repeating is the tough part when his career results through 2023 would hardly have predicted a break out.
