Lyle Moooton
Is McDougal’s body language always this awful when he’s struggling a bit? He can’t find his command, but the way he’s reacting is….not ideal.
Timmy U
W-S has fought all the way back. Zavala HR, 2b, Perez HR, Montgomery 1-2, 2bb, 2b, K. Antonacci 2-3, bb. 7-7 now.
BamaDoc
Pinto, A ball, removed after 2/3 inning and 17 pitches probably not good. Jeral Perez 3 for 4 with a homer.
Timmy U
W-S lost 9-8. 1 strike from victory then a HR and 2 out rally. Zavala drive home lead run. He was also 3-4, triple short of the cycle. Looks like something may have clicked with him.

Needs to be sustained for at least 7-10 consecutive games with Zavala...then maybe some legit hope
TheBooneLoganEra
Is Jeral Perez maybe a thing?

Timmy U
HR Jacob Gonzalez. Hagen Smith 3IP 1H 0R 2bb 4K, so far. Walks are still a little high, but AA hitters are struggling to hit him.

Timmy U
Jinxed it. As soon as I typed it, 1 H. I'll stop now.
Autumn Dreamin
Wolkow 2-4 on a pair of IF singles including a well executed bunt. Leaning into his speed lately. Mogollon 3-4 with a 2B and SB. OPS up to .940. Kanny unfortunately lost their SP and the game though.
Autumn Dreamin
Hagen is done after a season-best start of 6 scoreless. 4H, 2BB, 6K on 82 pitches. ERA down to 2.28.

Most of those hits were not well struck at all. If he can get to about 66% strikes, he's going to be a handful.

Can we not do this trope in the MiLB threads too?
GreenSox
Smith looks like he could be up in August or Sept. if they wanted. Just hone the game and shake out some of those walks in Birmingham for as long as necessary...I guess he's got to throw a couple of games in Charlotte before Chicago. Palette too - unusually high ERA/WHIP ratio - threw a couple of homers. He should be a great late-inning guy if they leave him in relief.
