Is that a B-2 bomber flying overhead? They're not building a $3B dome for only the 10-12 Chiefs home games a year (half of which are probably being played in good outdoor weather). It's all about being able to utilize this kind of facility year round for things like mega-concerts (Taylor Swift, etc.), NCAA tournaments, and the one Super Bowl that the NFL will award to them for fleecing the taxpayers in such a grand fashion. 2 hours ago2 hr IMO, Sox should consider a retractable dome. Something like the ones in Seattle or Toronto. It make all the sense for fans and for the owners. The bad baseball weather days in Chicago seem to increase every year. It has gotten to the point where I will not even think about heading to a game where the forecast is questionable - i.e., hey, raining a bit now but there is a window to maybe get this one in. Then the cold and snow in late March early April, some uncomfortably hot weather or dodging summer rain storms. A retractable dome would be a bigger investment up front, but it would easily pay for itself.

The dome ain't gonna happen.
