Hagen falling completely out of BA's updated top 100 is major yikes

Six 55FV prospects, one 50 FV, and five 45FV then 40s.

It's hard to make a convincing counter argument for why he shouldn't. Decline in velocity/overall stuff, major command issues and there's at least the suspiciouon of an underlying health issue. Since they're sending him to the AFL he's probably not hurt, but that just makes the regression even more concerning.

Didn’t Colson fall out of theirs as well? And look at him now

Surprised to see J Gonzalez dropping in Pipeline's ratings. Our man continues to rake at Charlotte. Seems unreasonable to put Carlson over Bonemer at this stage. I think Pipeline is too 'bullish' lately on teenagers who have shown very little.

I couldn’t justify Bonemer over Carlson in our FutureSox discussions. Bonemer just isn’t the same level of prospect imo. Bonemer has done it at Low A but he’s more similar to Fauske.

They both fell out for valid reasons, just have to hope that Hagen has a Colson-esque resurgence.

Top Ten draft picks are always going to get the benefit of the doubt over second rounders.

Has always been that way.

Easier for a first rounder to stay on a list than for anyone from lower rounds to break through.

Kristian Campbell was a huge exception getting into the Top 15 in one year as a fourth rounder...but his struggles at the mlb level just reinforce the volatility of the rankings when such a big jump across three levels occurs.

We had Vaughn/Madrigal, now it looks like Jacob Gonzalez/H.Smith will be the next pairing of questionable 1st round picks unless something changes dramatically like it did for Colson.

It’s an interesting dilemma. I am probably high man on Bonemer — I would have him over Braden. I just like the way he carries himself and the potential for impact. I’m probably too high, but he impressed me from the jump. But I can see why you’d have Carlson higher.

Braden has decent but not elite CF speed and high-level ability across four tools.

Bonemer is unlikely to stick up the middle...and it remains to be seen if he's a 15-18 homer guy or possibly high 20s as he fills out.

For younger kids, most high schoolers, High A will be the first big challenge.

@Y2Jimmy0, why no love for a guy like Grant Umberger? He seems to have been dominant for a stretch at Kanny and has similar or better numbers than Luis Reyes. Is it that somebody like Reyes exhibits better mechanics and ceiling, is it age or pedigree? Thanks.

Older undrafted college guy. Just need to see it longer and at higher levels. Guys like him carve in Low A

Lmao, this is still up on Pipeline.

Beats Semien, TA and Tatis combined.

Expected it to be Billy Carlson.
