Impressive. I think they have a great shot of 400 losses across 4 seasons. And people wonder why I turned negative on this club. They’re testing uncharted territory levels of futility.

I am going to say it outloud. I am more excited for Brooks than I am about Chase.  Feels like both more upside potential and positional flexibility once he settles in.

Plus Baldwin has very good speed...not elite, but he's pretty athletic.

Chone Figgins Lite.

Btw kudos to the Pirates for bringing up elite pitching prospect Bubble Chandler.

Would probably be closer to their expected W/L if Perez didn't go down so early

Not without some defensive improvement as well as a half-way reliable closer.

Great, now Elvis (Peguero) is probably going to join the TJS Train...

An IL stint lets you bypass the restrictions on how long guys have to be down at AAA before you can call them back up after an option.

I'm not saying it's 100% a phantom injury...but if they wanted to call up Gonzalez over someone else, that's the way to do it.

Chase is going to be pretty heavily reliant on drawing walks. So far he's done a pretty good job but he's never gonna hit more than 5-8 HR a year.

Citing an elbow/forearm strain without it being accurate isn't the usual route, though.

Who knows...nobody will remember him a year from now, anyway.

Oops.

It's OK Colson, just make up for it with a HR next AB

Morgan Freeman Voice: "He did not."

It's a great hit tool, but it is a pretty empty one.  I think pitchers will come after him more because of it as he ages.

to get thrown out that bad you either have the speed of Konerko or you sent a message you were going to steal

Perez has been getting squeezed all night I hope the dugout is chirping.

Nice inning Perez
