Whoever had the 1st round grade on Meade should be fired. His upside is utility guy.

I don’t think it’s true.  One base from where you were when pitch thrown.

Just going by the KC radio broadcast.

Would have to look it up...would take an incredibly fast runner to get there before the ball went out of play.

Usually you see that on wild throws to 1B going into the dugout/stands and runners from 3rd and 2nd scoring...

Baldwin is looking much better in LF lately.

In other news, Andrew Vaughn has crashed back down to earth. A 497 OPS this last week. 650 the last two weeks. 847 last month. He had his little hot month, just wasn't with us this year. He's going to have another replacement level season.

Shocked he was ever so highly rated.  Defense has been fine but he can’t hit anything in the air.

Royals bringing in all their high leverage guys here is sorta surprising but I'll take it as a sign of desperation.

No shock, he’s had a lot of warning track outs.

Brooks trying to imitate Colsons bomb but was just a few feet short

not impressed, has one extra base hit since joining the team, but his OBP is surprisingly high.

dunno if he's even a utility player, wouldn't really trust him at 3rd. seems like he has to have a crazy babip if he's gonna be effective.

In hindsight getting him off the damn roster and clogging up 1st base / DH was a turning point this season. Allowed the youngsters to emerge.

Maybe it's out with a torpedo bat

Tauchman has a really pretty swing. Being lefty helps of course but he's short and quick. Easy to see why he can hit for a high average in today's game. I'm surprised he hasn't had more chances in his career to start.

It's 50/50 if we hold this lead.

Nice game Martin

he's been really solid in August. 2 ER on 2 homers. 16 Ks to 2 BBs in 9 innings.

whoever had 2.02 ERA Martin Perez cross it off your bingo card

I'm not giving up on MeadVP just yet! he has a good approach at the plate and is incredibly patient.  if we could combine his swing decisions with Baldwin's pop, that would be a decent player

18 innings without a run for KC now.

And Baldwin's speed...Mead is neither strong nor fast, like Jeff Keppinger lol.

One of my main takeaways from the good seats in Seattle this year is that baldwin is built like an NFL running back and Mead is built like an Italian midfielder. No knock on mead he's obviously a pro, but physically baldwin has longer levers and way more power in his lower half.

Whoever the scout was that recommended baldwin 12th round did a great job.

Baldwin is a lot easier to like when he's playing solid defense that's for sure. Maybe just park him in LF next year f*** it Beni can rot.

Royals as a team have a horse s%*# offense. Yikes. They put no pressure on you either at the plate or on the bases.

We are actively playing spoiler here this series to cancel KC's slim chance for a Wildcard spot and i love it
