I’m really upset, Jerry Reinsdorf’s White Sox are now 162 games under .500 the last three years. I’ve been a Baseball and Sox fan since 1952 and without a doubt the White Sox since 2022 are the worst

  • I am with you, Mighty Mite. I've been a Sox fan for a hell of long time, and I have never seen the franchise in this bad a shape. Every fan knows his team will have bad years, but there is no excuse f

lol wat?  He has been a highlight machine all season

All the attention on Raleigh and Judge and Ohtani.

Does Kyle get put into that same conversation very frequently?

Maybe too defensive since he shares your name.

KYyle though.  Not quite the same.

Brewers don't really have to play for anything the rest of the season but they still win.

Sometimes stats deceive the eyes.

Salvy Perez by contrast has 36 bWAR vs 19 fWAR.

Famously good defender Derek Jeter has more fWAR than bWAR. I think baseball-reference is the better website but fangraphs's stats are easier (free) to search.

Chourio three run hr robbery over the wall changed that game.

Go Brewers. I wish them well in the playoffs. I like Churio.

No, it just takes 56 HR to do that

Sometimes those best record teams fall flat.  I hope not.

2019-2020 very pedestrian numbers no matter which system you go by

7/8 post seasons.

Sitting out with those 2 early byes usually do teams on good runs no favors.

Cubs up 4-0 on Mets (more to come this inning probably, Tong is out of the game)

so why ignore the previous two seasons?

I'm not trying to make the point that Benintendi is good. The point was you don't pay guys for past performance. Or what qualifies as 'wasted money'. The Mets aren't paying Manaea $75mil for last season's performance, they're paying him for this year and the next two.

Cubs out to another early lead over the Mets again, 4-0.

Pagan gets out of a bases loaded jam. Reds go to bottom 9 down 1. Should be interesting!

Because you could see his defense and speed falling off.

His numbers were also helped being in that NYY lineup in 2022.

Boston gave up on him.

Players nearing late 20s usually don't improve suddenly at 30-33 with steroids.

The guys that do excel in 30s usually power hitters like your Judges and Schwarbers.

A 3 year deal was what everyone else in the industry was offering.  Maybe one other team was at four but Hahn blew away all the offers...pretty early in FA if I remember correctly.

Baseball is a game of streaks.  They could be due at the wrong time.

Reds game is great

Tie game lol. Stephenson 4-4, solo shot

2-2 tie in Cincy

bottom 9

T.Stephenson tying homer

still 3-1 Guardians

You gotta love Crochet. What a stone cold killer on the mound.

D'Backs got better after the deadline.  They backed themselves into a corner again but now I will go back to watching them again.
