Jimenez and Sosa game winning RBIs for Toronto two from each 4-2 win

Barger and Springer close to returning, I wonder what their corresponding moves will be.

Eloy cost them nothing and maybe has limited utility with no position and no power so far. Sosa can at least move around the IF and has some control left. Lukes/Schneider are outfielders with options, but I think are clubhouse guys for them.

An extremely likeable vet with a pretty lefty swing. Hope he has a nice season for the Mets and he can get some playoff ball.

I'll give you 50,000 reasons why.

With what rotation spot? Burke and Martin look deserving of theirs, Schultz is up, and McDougal and the Smiths are still waiting in Charlotte.

They already have Kay and maybe Fedde to flip. Both are doing well enough that cutting them for the chance Gio does slightly better doesn't seem optimal.

Maybe you could move one of them to the pen, but why would Giolito, already getting a late start to the season, sign on to be a flip candidate rather than just joining a contender now?

He clearly wasn't getting the type of offers he wanted, so he put himself in a good position to win on the team tied for the best record in baseball.

This. Dude would have walked in front of a truck sooner than work for Jerry Reinsdorf and his union busting crap again.

Will always have a soft spot for Sheets. Funny how Gio has always had a former Sox teammate since leaving. Reylo, then Crochet/Hendriks, and now Gavin.

Still sad if that was truly the reason. I can’t imagine not wanting Giolito at that low 1 year price than Kay at $12 million guaranteed for 2 years, but perhaps Giolito isn’t truly healthy.

He's a union leader and Jerry is a union buster who subjected him to an organized crapping on in an arbitration hearing over $50,000 in a contract of millions.

You don't come back from that. That's publicly slapping your kid for having dirt under a fingernail.

Yep, I get the details behind it and that it’s all about the principles of one cheap old miser of an owner. It’s still hilarious because a single waiver claim costs $50K and a Rule 5 draft pick costs $100K.
