s%*#. Now we have to give Getz credit for putting so much depth at AAA behind Teel and Quero all of a sudden

That’s correct, but occasionally he can nut one out.

Lee sucks but it's also the absolute best week possible to try and sneak a guy through waivers. I guess good job by the Sox keeping a fringe guy around that may still have a little juice in the squeeze.

I guess the Sox farm system couldn't improve him. Where have we seen that before?

Is it really "depth" if the team is so afraid of using it that they sign a guy off of the street so they don't have to play them?

It is depth. Perhaps not “good” depth. 🤣

One game but the way the Brewers were running wild on McGuire was not comforting.

I'm guessing the seven stolen bases against the Sox in a single game may be the "modern era" franchise record.

Back in the early part of the 20th century games with teams have double-digit stolen bases were fairly common.

they will find a way to be weak at the C spot even if they trade Quero it will return to zero. Logic just doesn't go the Sox way. It's has always been a weakness and can't develop them either.

There is an 80% SB rate in baseball. Unfortunately modern baseball is into pitchers throwing thru a brick wall but who cares if they can't hold a runner or know when to cover a base.

The rule that limits pick-off attempts to two should be changed, IMO, but anyway, it seems the WSox didn't work on holding runners on.

McGuire was a terrible signing. He doesn't fit in with this team and, as noted, has some sexual / mental issues that led to an arrest for indecent exposure. Getz is out of control making foolish transactions and should be fired. Too many bad moves and multiple signings of substandard talent. The prime years of our best players (Mune, Colson, Teel) are being wasted by being on a perennial last place team with substandard players and pitchers.
