I feel like he hasn't had good command the past 2 outings. He had a historic April, but unless you're prime Pedro Martinez, you aren't gonna pitch like that all year.

Not a terrible idea to try to get into scoring position with 2 outs. He might have been safe if he slid on the 3rd base side of the 2nd base bag. At least he's got good wood on the ball a few times.
