Same old Hagen. He’s a chore to watch.

Does Charlotte have statcast? Anybody have a link if so? Curious as to Gonzo's numbers.

Hagen Smith, the least watchable pitcher of all time

Are you looking for stuff about today's game or season stats?

I just don't understand the folks that think he should be called up. Maddening to watch.

Mogo with a bomb. He sure has heated up.

Yeah to me it looks like it could go so badly at the MLB that it could ruin him mentally (and that's not a comment on his mental state, more about how bad I think it could go)

Not even close to Carson Fulmer yet…

Season. I can't see much explanation in the stats available on fangraphs and milb reference.

tjstats.ca is the most user-friendly option for AAA Statcast season data AFAIK. They're basically trying to replicate the Baseball Savant pages.

Well Hagen is walking even more batters than Carson was before he got called up. But Carson is the exact cautionary tale. Was rushed up to the big leagues without showing that he had figured out the minor leagues. Then the MLB stint went so badly it set him back for years, leaving him posting worse numbers in the minors afterwards than he had before.

I don't think Carson Fulmer had a chance to succeed in MLB. Horrible draft pick. One of many. I can still see that stupid herky jerky motion with his thick glasses, like that's gonna scare hitters.

Good start again for Truman Pauley. 5 1IP, 1 ER (solo shot), 8 K

To me the cautionary tale is don't use a first-round pick (much less a high first round pick) on a 5 inning college pitcher who walks too many.
I guess his reputed 99 mph tantalized; not so much at 94 mph. But if he can figure out his control and then command, he does have tools.

On another matter good to see Pauley with a nice game. Kanny looked like a basket-case team just a few weeks ago.

Eh, you can't teach someone to throw 99. You take chances on those guys hoping they can be fixed every time.

Someone threw out a list of all the starting pitching "depth" we have and basically all of it is unproven. A nice like half season of work from Shane Smith last year, and nice start for Davis Martin's season was pretty much it. Oh, and "Free Agent signing to be named later."

Our pitching sucks. It's a miracle it's been as good as it has so far. That said, I don't expect it to last much longer. The Giants offense sucks but June is filled with better teams.
