A number of posters were concerned they were pushing him up to the big leagues way too fast after his first half year was wiped out by the ankle injury.

It's fine if it's strictly a development year...you can give players a lot more rope and be patient.

Maybe not so much when you are suddenly in win now/playoff mode.

Clearly just advocating for calling every single prospect up isn't the solution, either.

The Sox haven't had to deal with any real hitting struggles among the core group other than Quero...at least once Vargas and Colson got going.

Still, it was basically inconceivable that every single hitting prospect was just going to come up and dominate.

Unfortunately the Sox are forced to play them due to injuries that have created lineup holes...even if it hinders their long-term development.

Gonzalez is one thing.

But they really have to be really careful with Braden...
