As we saw from the earlier deal from Angels:
The Mets are receiving infielder Jefferson Rojas, the Cubs' No. 2 prospect.

backend 2, strong 3 starting pitcher with control = top infield prospect.

The good news, is that's really all it takes. I'd guess wiht detmers, they will eventually just take the best total position prospect they can get, and others are still trying ot make it up in quality volume or pitching.

Yep, the same reason they acquired David Peterson and it has worked out so far.

So the price here was somewhere between Bonemer and Carlson FWIW.
