I never make game threads or grade trades, just so I can say I told you so later. It’s a sound strategy and something only a supervillain like me could think of.

Me and @WhiteSox2023 have a special relationship that allows us to joke with with each other. We are online buds. I would never besmirch his character unless he really needed to hear it

This had L written all over it before the game began'

The forfeit lineup with Schulz on the mound..............

This is a team slump......they haven't had a real one yet but maybe this is it. Plus you don't have seasoned managers or coaches either.

Ungodly pathetic.

Tomorrow legit feels like the season is on the line. This team just looks absolutely out of it.

Couldn't be more disappointed in the effort.

Interesting… Will saying in the post game that he went out “with urgency” while “forgetting there had already been a visit” because of an appeal play.

Apparently he thought someone hadn’t touched a bag in the first.

1.) If that was the case, couldn’t he have appealed directly to the umpire crew himself instead of going to the mound?

2.) Wonder what would have happened today if that appeal was won and the game was 1-0 after the first. Probably still would have lost because Schultz looked like hot garbage today.

It was bad. Don't understand the doom and gloom here.

Shouldn't McKinven be warning Venable as the bench coach about trips to the mound?

Or this is all just a cover up to protect Schultz somehow?

So were the umpires just being assholes?

BOTTOM OF THE NINTH COMEBACKER… BOOKED!!!

Lovin' your optimism, hi8is, but it looks like this one just wasn't meant to be. Clean the slate; c'mon tomorrow!

Once we knew our team would be in a race, we all knew ( or should have known ) that the outcome would come down to divisional games.

So far we’re even against Cleveland. The next two days will be more important than any other we have seen all year… and you’re right… they aren’t coming into those games looking good AT ALL…

But if there has been one thing that has defined this team for the majority of this season, it has been their ability to rise to the occasion when their backs are against the wall.

Let’s see it again.

If they are to go anywhere in the post season, we’ll need to see that fighting spirit more.

Geico becomes Gekko?

Worst gane of the season. Team needs a good nights rest.

I’ll always be an optimist for our team ( to my own detriment )… but yes, all we can hope for is a recovery tomorrow.

We’re still in a better position now than ANYONE expected this past winter.

It’s a big load of horseshit on Venable. Only time all year I’ve seen him completely out of a game.

Guess we should just chalk it up to the team getting into town at 5am. They’re human.

No, regardless of Will wanted to have an appeal, he should have gone to the umpires or verbally yelled out to Colson at third.

100% on Venable… and it likely had no effect on the games outcome. Just a total brain fart.

Getz refused to trade top prospects to improve THIS team. Was that a decision that JR made? What a stupid, short-sighted strategy.

Next year is not guaranteed. Murakami could leave after next year anyway.

So wait for Ishbia the savior for 5 years or so. He will have Roch, Bonemer and a few other guys in the Minors and his Private Equity Investment firm can leverage debt.

Vogt really seems beloved in that clubhouse. Has already won MoY twice.

It really is amazing that the Indians have only won 4 of the last 15 and are only two games back. Shows how much we have been struggling and how much things would be different if we had been able to kick things into another gear.

In one way we’re lucky to still be on the top of the Central… and in another way we should have a 6+ game lead with the pennant already in the bag.

So frustrating… Urg… I need to fucking sleep until we win again.

This team has shown incredible resilience. Hope they use the emotion of tomorrow to fire them to victory.

We have to start relying on our own wins instead of our divisional opponents losing. Nice that we happen to be playing one of them… maybe…

May the sprit of Ozzie lead them to a much needed and long overdue winner tomorrow!
