I think we'll be repeating all off season long that they were just one well executed Taylor slider/curve against Rocchio away from an almost insurmountable in reality 3 1/2 game lead (considering CLE had to finish a game ahead due to Sox 7-5 season series lead with one to go) with just 10-11 games remaining on the schedule for both teams.

Didn't expect anything in the postseason...they're clearly not close to TB NY or Boston in talent...but just feels like a terribly cruel twist of fate after leading the division for months and months.

Ofc, all White Sox fans shpuld be used to this by now...at least those of us in our 50s.

2005/08 really are the pretty much the lone exceptions.

We need to win the series 3-1, a sweep would be more than great but first let’s win today’s game in Cleveland.

True, but it's also important to note that going into today the Sox have lost 11 of 16 games. That qualifies as pretty mediocre/crappy too.

Blue Jays were also one out (and miracles from Yamamoto and Rojas) away from taking down the WS champion Dodgers...a dynastic superfranchise that's a major reason for the impending lockout. The majority of that core is still intact.

Well over the years I've seen a lot of mediocre/ bad/awful/ has been pitchers shut the Sox down.

I hope they can light the guy up and save the bullpen.

Wonder if they would consider moving Wash-Det to Thursday, so Sox-Tigers can finish Monday.

But it’s possible they can get in two on Sunday.

And the opposite. I've seen some pretty good pitchers get pounded by mediocre offenses.
