"Before Adell stepped into the box, Peralta had thrown 11,350 four-seam fastballs as a major-leaguer. His 11,351st was his fastest yet: 99.4 mph right down the middle, which Adell fouled off for strike one. Peralta reared back and attacked again with 99 mph — a mark he had reached only five times in his career prior to Tuesday — and got Adell to fly out to center field to end the frame."

71/99 pitches were fastballs last night

that's pretty wild

definitely pushing his FA contract closer and closer to $100 million or more after being at around a 5 era with the Mets at the deadline

Strike will look pretty dumb if the Brewers sweep the Dodgers...

5/12 teams in postseason small and mid market in terms of how they're run

MIL CLE CWS SD TB

including 4 of final 5

It's not going to change the owners' stance one bit. It'll all be a matter of who blinks first when games start getting cancelled....and that might be a while, too.

Longer season than 2020 or shorter? Or no MLB in 2027? Thoughts?

But it might change the opinion of fans being equally on the side of the owners coming into this season...and put more pressure on ownership groups in OAK Cincy Pitt KC COL Baltimore Minnesota LAA, Miami, etc., to be more competitive without getting bailed out by a new collective bargaining agreement.

Longer....won't come anywhere close to 100 games lost.

Dodgers getting dominated by Robert Gasser.

En fuego.

Except for Snell, shell of their 2025 team without superhuman versions of Ohtani Smith Muncy.

What a disastrous outing for Uribe

With both sides dug in and having a big "war chest" reserve fund, it could take a while. But I'd imagine pressure would really start to build if this drags into May or June with no end in sight.

Certainly WH and Congress will resolve it...anti-trust exemptions threatened, etc.

About as well as the NCAA NIL fight.

At least Vaughn shaved his head and smartly went for Urlacher pre transplant look...

Jose Ramirez of the day goat award?

Might just have shifted entire series.

OR NOT.

Why did they keep Snell in after the homer? WTF?

Roberts trusted Snell more than Scott or Vesia.

Looks like Milwaukee is just the best team in baseball. That Jake Bauers AB was a thing of beauty, and he did it vs Yamamoto too before in this series.

That's what I want, batters who make pitchers work, not strike out at an alarming rate 😭

Peters had a 18 pitch PA against Gavin Williams a month ago. Our hitters were capable of having good ABs before the last 3 games of the ALDS.

That Peters at bat was a thing of beauty.....I do want more of that from him and Meidroth instead of chasing power imo.

Over the years, Roberts has made some puzzling in game decisions in the playoffs.

He pulled a reverse Cash and paid for it.

Brewers didn't even need to use Ashby.

That will likely be key tmrw.

Both games moved up.

CLE at 1 est and Dodgers at 7 est.

How many teams have come back from down 3-0?

Just the 2004 Red Sox.

After 60 games lost the TV deals MLB has already signed start to lose value and will require MLB to not get as much money as they are expecting.

One of two things happen around Memorial Day.

*Either the owners break and cave in which means games will start around June 15

or

*They will stay united and the 2027 season will not be played at all.

One thing I'll willing to bet on, the MLBPA will not fracture or cave if the owners insist on a salary cap.

Airing immediately following NFL coverage, Sunday’s Dodgers-Brewers National League Championship Series Game 1 averaged 10.72 million viewers across FOX (10.6M) and Fox Deportes — marking the most-watched Game 1 of an LCS since Angels-White Sox in 2005 (15.01M) and most-watched Game 1 of an NLCS since Marlins-Cubs in 2003 (15.57M). (That excludes games that aired in regional windows; FOX aired Game 1 of one LCS and Game 2 of the other in regionalized primetime windows from 2002-06.)
