March 18, 200422 yr Yeah, I find myself cheering for the underdogs too even if I pick against them. I just can't get myself to cheer for the ACC. Underdogs are the way to go...I find myself cheering for the Big Ten a bit now too...cheer for the Illini?!?!?!?!?!? Ewwwww :puke .
March 18, 200422 yr Author I took BYU too. Now I did not take Virginia Commonwealth, but go VCU, pull off the upset!!!! I don't think they have enough to win this year, but Jeff Capel is going to turn VCU into a badass midmajor. They will be winning tourney games in the future.
March 18, 200422 yr yahoo updated their standings, I'm tied for 1st w/ 3. Actually, it is more like nine people with 3 points.
March 18, 200422 yr Actually, it is more like nine people with 3 points. still counts I got wake in the elite 8! C'mon deacons.
March 18, 200422 yr whew, wake up 4 w/ 12 ticks left. Bad play by VCU on that last play, forgetting to foul.
March 18, 200422 yr ...and we learn why VCU is a low-seed, foul for crying out loud. WTF are you guys doing?
March 18, 200422 yr still counts I got wake in the elite 8! C'mon deacons. ya me 2 and i think i had florida in my sweet sixteen so that sucks.
March 18, 200422 yr ya me 2 and i think i had florida in my sweet sixteen so that sucks. I got Wake beating St. Joes too, but come on VCU!!!!!
March 18, 200422 yr I'm 5-2 which is ok, but more importantly I only got the 8-9 games wrong. I am traditionally awful at the 8-9 games anyway. I had both of the picks I got wrong losing in the 2nd round anyway.
March 18, 200422 yr Damn. Great comeback from Southern. now how big was the s*** call before the half that led to the Bama 3? That pissed me off and was my only gripe with the refs the whole game. Darn, 2nd year in a row SIU loses by 1 in the first round. Last year was Missouri.
March 19, 200422 yr Son of a b****, I had Florida going to the elite 8. They were such a talented team and had been playing so strong. I also missed on the SIU (I know I shouldn't of picked those losers, but for some reason I thought they'd pull through). Thus far today I am 6-2. But like I said, I had Florida going deep, including an upset over St. Joseph.
March 19, 200422 yr this is by far the best start to a tourney ever for me. Usually I already have one elite 8 team out already.
March 19, 200422 yr Author I am 5-3 so far. The good thing is all of my loses are teams I had losing in the 2nd round anyway.

March 19, 200422 yr Author Princeton is leading Texas 17-12 with abouty 6 1/2 minutes left in the first.
March 19, 200422 yr someone i know had the same so i ask seriously why would you pick them of all teams? Down the stretch that had been playing really well and early in the season they were also good. I know they were #1 at one point this year and the only real cold spell they hit was when one of their players left midseason to go to Europe. They hit their snaffo, shot down in the polls and then heated back up. Then again, I forgot the fact that they almost always go down early in the Tourney. For some reason I Thougt this year would be different since they showed so much resilience. As far as St. Josephs, I think they can be beat if someone turns it into a physical game. I don't think Texas Tech can do it, although you never know with Bobby Knight. He could really force St. Joseph out of their game.
March 19, 200422 yr I'm perfect in my SoxTalk bracket.....I think this is the only bracket I picked Bama in that 8-9 game. In all my other ones, I have SIU winning that one.
March 19, 200422 yr I haven't checked my bracket yet, but I gotta say one thing. G-Mac is G-money. Holy s*** was that a hell of a game for Gerry McNamara. What was it, like 43 points and nine 3-pointers? That is insane.
