Hey 2k4 or Steff or anyone who knows, any idea on whether players will sign jerseys at the fest.

 

Reason I'm asking is that I've got an authentic Sox road jersey I may bring with me and try to collect as many sigs on it as possible from current players.

And one other thing, what's the best kinda pen to have that signed with? Think a blue sharpie would work? Just trying to scramble a few last minute things together here so I can leave the fest with a nice piece of memorabilia to frame and hang in my house....

They sign pretty much anything, and don't worry about markers. They have them at the tables they sign at. They have every conceivable color and style of sharpie.

Yea, they even have those cool silver markers to sign helmets and black bats and stuff...

 

As far as the jerseys, I've seen them sign jerseys while people are wearing them. They are usually pretty accomidating.

wait until you see the dude carrying around his seats from old Comiskey to get signed -

 

and all the security things we do now, it always amazes me to see everyone in line at SoxFest with their bats - if 1,000 people with bats lined up anywhere else in America, the police and SWAT teams and riot squads would be there so fast...

 

 

you can also buy jersies there or bring your own, get it autographed, and then get names and numbers put on very cheaply

I got that same jersey for x-mas, w/ Buehrle name/number on it. I'll be wearing it to the games this year, so no way I would have them sign that one. I would bring one of my cheaper ones.

To those of you who have been there before, how much is it to get a jersey customized with a name and number? Because I have a blank black jersey and want to get "Thomas" or "Lee" on the back.
