Some guy just posted on the White Sox ESPN message board that assuming the physicals pass, the Sox are going to trade "Koch and Konerko to Reds for Reitsma and Griffey." Griffey and the Reds are stuck with each other unless the Reds want to pay a huge part of the contract, or Griffey has a couple years of his old self. I don't see either happening.

February 7, 200422 yr Yeah, most people would do this if Jr. would be healthy. But isn't too likeley he will be healthy all year. Though I do like the idea of dumping Koch.
February 7, 200422 yr Can you imagine the kind of draw JR would bring to the ballpark? I think he could stay healthy due to the fact that the ones he has had have been total freaky injuries. Plus he could and should hit #500 this year.

February 7, 200422 yr This is what the rumor was per sportsline.com the griffy/reitsma for koch/konerko is the first part of the blockbuster. then the sox send thomas to the dodgers, the reds send casey to the sox, the dodgers send perez and a prospect to the sox, the sox inturn send that prospect from the dodgers as well as one of their prospects to the reds. also the dodgers send a middle infielder to the reds for mike matthews.
