Paulie's wife stricken by foul ball

Featured Replies

Uh oh, our buddy ninety-four's got another grudge to bear!

Maybe Mrs. K's not OLD ENOUGH to attend games yet???

from the Sun-Times:

TEAM ERROR: Despite Paul Konerko sitting to her left and Aaron Rowand sitting behind her in the Tucson Electric Park stands, Konerko's wife, Jennifer, was hit by a foul ball below the left eye.

To the players' credit, the ball rebounded off a wall behind the group before heading back toward the field and striking Jennifer Konerko. She was smiling about the incident later while sitting in the players' dining area with an ice pack on her cheek.

Damn that's twice that a foul ball hits that "wall" and bounces back. Thank god these players aren't playing there after spring break, cause it's someone in their families that might be in trouble. ;)

I want pictures.

I remeber being younger and sitting right up close behind one of the dugouts and always jupping a little at a foul. Probably is pretty fast. I really wouldn't even pat attention much to it now, probably feel lucky i got a chance at a ball.

If he cant defend his wife, how is he going to defend 1st?

I wish Reinsdorf went to the games.....

I take it you haven't been to TEP park. The "ceiling" is really weird. I was there yesterday and saw a lot of people get hit off of deflections. It's hard to explain and I'm wasting some of my 30 minutes allowed time to use the internet here at the Hilton El Conquistador in Tuscon.

What kind of idiot would go to a baseball game? I mean, you could be seriously hurt, even killed!

The killer walls of Tuscon Electric.

Geez, he is a newlywed, you would think he would have something better to do on a day off than sit at the game... ;) Cant hit a homerun off the field either.

I heard something a week ago about Crede's kid (less than 6 months hold) got hit with a foul ball. Did I hear that correctly?
