WILL TEXAS AND XAVIER FANS ROOT FOR ILLINOIS OVER DUKE? HOW MANY DUKE FANS WILL BE GOING VS. ILLINI FANS? WE NEED FANS TO HELP US. WHEN I FIRST SAW DUKE IN OUR BRACKET IN ATLANTA I WAS WORRIED THAT DUKE'S FANS WOULD KILL OUR FANS IN ATLANTA.

I feel there will be more of a Duke crowd there. Duke has their share of bandwagoners because of who they are, and Atlanta is a little closer to Duke.

I wish I could be there. Like I said in another thread: This will be the most important sporting event to me in my short life, so far. And sports are by far the most important thing in my life. Friday cannot come soon enough.

Texas fans are pulling for Illinois for sure. The unreal media bias that Duke gets pissed many people off.

He continually recruited extremely intelligent kids, who mostly stay in school, graduate, become model citizens, and excell in college basketball. He has never sold his soul for an athlete like so many others have. you never hear about the recruiting scandels or disipline problems that plague so many others. It is nice to see someone who does things the right way, win.

Very true. He's definitely not a Bob Huggins. I have nothing against Coach K; everything you said is true. I just hope IU can experience what Duke has been doing recently while I'm there.

This is just stupid...only people cheering for Duke will be Duke supports who go and people who want Duke to win for their brackets. As someone else said, everyone wants to see a lower seed beat a higher seed, especially because it is Duke.

I agree with everyone else, I think everyone will be cheering for Illinois in this, besides the Duke faithful of course. Especially if they are able to get fast transition points with Dee, everyone loves pulling for the short fast point guard with energy.

 

Im hoping to get tickets to this game, I would have no problem skipping school and driving 800 miles to go see a Illinois/Duke matchup!
